cataract is a clouding of the eye’s natural lens. This lens, located behind the iris, sends images to the brain. The human lens can become so clouded that prevents light and the image reaching the retina.

However, a cataract is not a “film” over the eye, and neither diet nor lasers will make it disappear; also can not be prevented. Eye injuries, certain diseases, or even some medications can cause opacity.

The best way to treat a cataract is surgery that removes the old lens, cloudy, and replaces it with a new, artificial one, restores vision, and in many ways, greatly improves their quality of life.
