A\u00a0cataract<\/strong>\u00a0is a clouding of the eye\u2019s natural lens. This lens, located behind the iris, sends images to the brain. However, a\u00a0cataract<\/strong>\u00a0is not a \u201cfilm\u201d over the eye, and neither diet nor lasers will make it disappear; also can not be prevented. Eye injuries, certain diseases, or even some medications can cause opacity.<\/p>

The best way to treat a\u00a0cataract<\/strong>\u00a0is surgery that removes the old lens, cloudy, and replaces it with a new, artificial one, restores vision, and in many ways, greatly improves their quality of life.<\/p>
